  1. Improved access to medicines: locally manufactured essential medicines were 28% more likely to be in stock in outlets than imported medicines and up to 30% cheaper (HAI/GiZ report, 2018).
  2. Stabilized supply chain: Offers stability of supply chain of essential medicines during disruptions e.g., during the Covid 19 pandemic.
  3. Regional hub of pharmaceutical manufacturing with increasing standards and installed capacities. Currently exporting to over 15 countries.
  4. Contributes to speed to market and medicines access regionally as key players in EAC medicines harmonization programs and Joint EAC GMP inspections.
