We are the Federation of Kenya Pharmaceutical Manufacturers
We are the umbrella body through which local pharmaceutical manufacturers articulate their interests and contribute to public health in the relevant forums regarding policies, regulations, trade, and quality. We have over 18 members who comprise of manufacturers of both human and veterinary medicines operating in Kenya. FKPM was formed on 24th August 1981.
We are affiliated to the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and Federation of East African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (FEAPM) among other associations.





Our Purpose
To develop and sustain a robust, diversified, and competitive local manufacturing sub-sector that prioritizes public health needs for quality, safe and affordable medical products.
Our Objectives
- To advocate for the strengthening of local pharmaceutical manufacturing of medical products for Kenyan and regional needs.
- To promote and advocate for policy coherence to stimulate and incentivize domestic pharmaceutical production.
- To engage relevant stakeholders and in particular regulatory authorities in the formulation of laws, regulations and guidelines that support suitable operating environment.
- Consolidate members to pursue technical and financial support relevant to growth, efficient manufacturing, and achievement of international standards.
